New contemporary church in downtown Cleveland

April 2nd, 2007 | by Jeremy |

Yesterday I went to Gateway Church - a new contemporary church in downtown Cleveland that meets every Sunday at 10:30am at Pickwick and Frolic.

It was a pretty cool atmosphere. The church just started. It was only the second service they held so far, but they’ve done some other community projects, such as helping the Downtown Cleveland Alliance clean up after the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

I like the concept because they’re really “pro downtown Cleveland” and focused on helping the community. It’s an informal, casual church atmosphere. Plus it’s nice to be able to walk to church from my condo. (although they do have free parking validation at the 515 Euclid Avenue parking garage)

Also, I seem to be a magnet for local news crews. First Good Company found my girlfriend and I at the metroparks toboggan chutes and yesterday, 19 Action News interviewed us at Gateway Church. We were actually on their newscast last night. But I looked like crap because I wasn’t awake yet…

I still have to get on Fox 8 somehow…
